Stickley Hosts Newcomb Collection

September 27, 2016

Newcomb pottery has found an exhibit space worthy of its Arts and Crafts roots. Now through November 6, nearly 30 pieces from the private collection of Barbara Fuldner and her late husband, Henry Fuldner, are on display at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Morris Plains. The pottery is on view in the dining room of the Log House—the home Gustav Stickley designed for his own use—providing a period-perfect backdrop for the exhibition. The merger of the Newcomb pottery and the Stickley home not only shares a design connection, but also a familial one; Barbara Fuldner is the great-grand-daughter of Gustav Stickley.
