
SEPT. 5–DEC. 3 Celebrate the life and work of late abstract expressionist painter Sheba Sharrow with the “Balancing Act” exhibit at Monmouth University’s DiMattio Gallery in West Long Branch, in partnership with James Yarosh Associates Fine Art Gallery. Sparrow participated in many social justice movements of the ’60s and ’70s and used poetic text and disturbing images in her artwork to tell powerful stories.
