The Rolling Stones sing that we’ll ride wild horses some day, but there are still many ways for equine enthusiasts to get their fill of these fantastic animals—from furnishing with horseinspired home decor to attending elite equestrian events such as the Rolex Central Park Horse Show (RCPHS). This show gallops into New York City’s Wollman Rink every September and includes exhibition acts and top show jumping and dressage competitions featuring the world’s best riders and jumpers—Georgina Bloomberg, Brianne Goutal and Kent Farrington, among others. In an effort to provide opportunities and advancement to children, NYC’s law enforcement and the equestrian sport itself, proceeds support a host of charities, including the Central Park Conservancy, City Parks Foundation and GallopNYC.
