At last, it’s beach house season. The months between Labor Day and Memorial Day are endless and cold, but they are firmly in our rearview now. It’s time for sun, surf and the sanctuary of your home-away-from-home.
Whatever brings you bliss, your vacation home should embody it so you can get the most out of the season. If you visited the Shore this past MDW and now feel like adding something new or changing the décor of your waterfront home, we at NJ HOME are here to help. We’ve curated some of our favorite beach house designs from our archives, as well as from the pages of our sister publication Monmouth, and are excited to share them below. We hope these bring you some inspiration:

At this beachfront retreat in Manasquan, designer Christina Kim used clean lines and soothing palettes to complement the sensational views of the ocean. The open concept of the first floor keeps everything feeling breezy and light.

Designed by Kingsley Knauss, this Bay Head vacation home was built to be a family’s entertainment central for generations to come. This expansive pool area includes a kitchen, plenty of seating and fantastic views of the bay.

In Sea Bright, a hexagonal-shaped living room offers panoramic views of the ocean, and designer Christina Kim installed motorized woven shades so the homeowner can access them with ease. We love the echo of the room’s shape in the coffee table.

Designer Joanne de França-Marino let the water views dictate nearly every design choice in this waterfront sanctuary. With the custom Vanguard sofa and the accordion doors presenting an impressive view of Barnegat Bay, the space embodies relaxing coastal sophistication.

With its natural light and mix of seating options, the dining room of this Brielle home brings the beach vibes inside. The homeowners gave designer Elizabeth Ruffalo free reign to play with the space, so long as shore living stayed at the front of everyone’s mind.
