While our jet-set lifestyles take us on ski trips or tropical vacations during winter, many of New Jersey’s best interior designers head to the annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. This year’s program, slated for Feb. 27–29, will feature more than 600 exhibitors and 450,000 square feet of displays and demonstrations—that means our area’s kitchen and design pros will be bringing home a wealth of new ideas, trends, products and more.
At NJ HOME, we’re excited to see the latest from KBIS, and we’re certain you share our enthusiasm. As you wait for updates and photos from the show, we’re hoping the following kitchen designs—each featured in recent issues—provide inspiration for your upcoming kitchen project. Each one is the sum of all the products featured at the KBIS show.
Timeless was designer Marissa Sauer’s goal in this North Caldwell kitchen. The mission is accomplished with a mother of pearl mosaic, white marble backsplash and quartz counters.
The first decision designer Cozette Brown made for this Ringwood kitchen was the large-format anthracite tile on the floor. The stone reminded her of the stone surrounding the fireplace in the nearby living room, which still features the original log walls.
The kitchen in this Allendale home, designed by Mary Fitzpatrick Scro, derives its warmth from the use of wood and navy on the cabinets, brightened by the white Caesarstone quartz counters, the white tile backsplash and a bank of large windows.
Designer Sharon Sherman gave what the owner of this West Milford home wanted: a built-in coffee maker. She also added rustic touches, including reclaimed barnwood to cover the drop ceiling and support brackets for the suspended shelves.
For this Wyckoff kitchen, Sherman used Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy for the cabinet color and an iridescent octagon ceramic tile instead of a typical subway tile backsplash. The shapely tile, depending on the light, changes color from silver to bluish.
