11 Trends In Home Furnishings

November 6, 2025

As you prepare to deck the halls with holiday décor, New Jersey’s interior designers are already envisioning the next best things for your home. Many of the industry’s best returned from last month’s High Point Market in North Carolina, considered the world’s largest home furnishing trade show, with ideas and thoughts about the latest trends, products, colors and fabrics—and how to apply each of them to their clients’ wish lists.

If you missed High Point (it was open to those in the industry) or if you want to relive the excitement, we’re happy to share these highlights from the event:

  • Warm colors and jewel tones: The cool grays of previous years are being replaced by warm, inviting colors. Trending hues include deep tobacco, camel, olive greens, rich merlot/plum and slate blues. Bold jewel tones were also prominent in showrooms throughout the five-day event. Beautiful, rich browns were everywhere, and variations of the color from milk chocolate to deeper brown tones,” says designer Lisa Santoro of Morristown-based LJS Interiors. I also saw those rich, earthy greens continuing to hold strong. It’s clear these warm, grounded colors aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

  • Brown wood: Rich, warm brown woods such as walnut and hickory are making a strong comeback, and they’re being accented with brass hardware. These classic finishes replace lighter pine and gray washes.

  • Texture and layering: Texture took center stage, with many designers embracing materials and treatments like bouclé, chenille, nubby linen, velvet, grass cloth and metal finishes like hammered brass. “Boucles and tweeds were everywhere: on chairs, ottomans and even accent pieces,” says Santoro. “Almost every showroom had a fresh take on these textures—from flattering, tailored weaves to subtle color-mixed yarns that added more depth.

  • Performance indoor fabrics: Sunbrella has launched a dedicated interior line, reflecting the increasing demand for durable, easy-to-clean fabrics for indoor use.
  • Royal seating. A go-to brand for many interior designers, Currey & Co. showed its new Benin Throne chairs in brown and green hues, as seating fit for a king and queen continues to be on trend.

  • Lights on. Hudson Valley Lighting debuted its latest designer collaboration with Augusta Hoffman Studio. The collection reflects vintage and minimalist inspiration, and each fixture showcases natural materials with polished finishes.

  • Watch your step. Queens-based Rug & Kilim showed off its new Scandinavian Exotic line, a new take on Swedish flatweave. The handwoven pieces feature a blend of wool and exotic yarns inspired by Alpaca rugs, yielding a smooth and soft texture that’s strong and weighty.

  • Island life. For those looking for kitchen solutions, Four Hands debuted several smart pieces. Its Divina Kitchen Island has plenty of space for countertop chores and also includes a waterfall table that pulls out and tucks back into the main frame.

  • “Origen” story. Global furniture maker Adriana Hoyos Furnishings celebrates its 30th anniversary with its new Origen collection, featuring more than 30 upholstery and accent furniture styles such as the Origen Daybed 110 and Origen Chair 301. Look for refined materials and custom offers, including raffia palm and diamond-quilted leather, as well.

  • Cool collab. The Abner Henry x Dwayne Bergmann collaboration has expanded its line with 25 new furniture pieces. The latest armoires, chests, desks and more have refined silhouettes and can be customized with hundreds of wood finishes and dozens of metals.

  • Wall art. York Wallcovers showed off its latest lines, including Chris Loves Julia: The Storied Collection. These designs combine the brand’s signature moody aesthetic with timeless botanicals and rich color palettes.
